We have just opened a new branch of our HOME STORE and CAFÉ in Wicklow and are growing our kitchen team.

Reporting to our Operations Manager, we are recruiting for the following position:

CHEF

You are someone with an interest in real food, made fresh to order, using great local ingredients. If you have a strong interest in food, consider yourself to be a team player and would like to work in a friendly, collaborative and award winning workplace we would love to hear from you. Taking direction, good organisation skills and an ability to work well under pressure are key assets for this role.

You will be expected to: prep ingredients and follow house recipes while also adhering to presentation standards; maintain very high cleaning and hygiene standards to include updating HACCP records; assist colleagues with stock management, cooking, cleaning, creating new menu items, reporting and all other aspects of kitchen duties. Experience in a similar role is required.

Our cafe is a busy but very friendly place to work. We open Monday - Sunday 9.00-5pm for breakfast and lunch service as well as serve coffee/hot drinks/cakes etc.

We operate a roster system with various kitchen shifts between 8am - 5pm and the maximum number of shifts is five per week.

We also provide:
- free meals and coffee/hot drinks on duty
- 20 days holidays plus 9 bank holidays pro-rata
- staff discount in our shop
- no split shifts or evening shifts

Remuneration is in line with experience.

Retail Manager - Wicklow

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to oversee our furniture and homeware retail space in our new Wicklow store. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the shop. A friendly approach and excellent customer service skills are required, as well as an ability to supervise colleagues in order to maximise efficiency and create a harmonious atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike. Clear communication is key, as well as an ability to work well under pressure. You possess a friendly and approachable manner and work well in a team environment.

We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and has a love for interiors and all things home. Health and wellbeing are a strong focus for our business, so an interest in this area would also be of benefit. You have an eye for detail and are great with people.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up administration systems and maintaining an organised and efficient workflow
  • Familiarising yourself with our furniture ranges and closing sales both in store and over the phone
  • Leading a small team and coaching them to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Weekly ordering and stock management
  • Weekly rostering
  • Cash management
  • Customer care & complaint handling
  • Basic HR management
  • Maintaining very high cleaning and hygiene standards in store
  • Assisting with visual merchandising and displays
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Managing in store promotions and sales
  • Liaising with colleagues in our other store to manage inventory and customer queries
  • Managing the fulfilment of online orders

This position will be based at The Wilds at the Beehive in Wicklow, our new Home Store & Cafe (we already have another store in Enniscorthy). We will be open Monday - Sunday and will operate a roster system. This role is full-time, working five days per week.
