You are someone with an interest in real food, made fresh to order, using great local ingredients. We like to keep things simple when it comes to cooking and have trained many people in our kitchen over the past six years. Could you be one of our new kitchen superstars? If you have a strong interest in food, consider yourself to be a team player and would like to work in a friendly, collaborative and award winning workplace we would love to hear from you. Taking direction, good organisation skills and an ability to work well under pressure are key assets for this role.
You will be expected to: prep ingredients and follow house recipes while also adhering to presentation standards; maintain very high cleaning and hygiene standards to include updating HACCP records; assist the head chef and colleagues with stock management, cooking, cleaning, creating new menu items, reporting and all other aspects of kitchen duties. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will also be provided.
Our cafe is a busy but very friendly and nice place to work. We open Tuesday - Sunday 9.30-4pm for breakfast and lunch service as well as serve coffee/hot drinks/cakes etc.
We operate a roster system with various kitchen shifts between 8am - 5pm and the maximum number of shifts is five per week.

- 20 days holidays plus 9 bank holidays pro-rata

- no split shifts or evening shifts
Remuneration is in line with experience.
