The Wilds of Wicklow

at The Beehive

 Located a stone’s throw from the motorway at Junction 18 on the M11, and close to Wicklow town, The Beehive was a legendary local establishment in Co. Wicklow for many years. We are thrilled to have purchased and brought the derelict building back to life with our Furniture and Lifestyle store, Artisan Cafe and The Wild Garden Florist & Garden Centre. Not forgetting our busy Drive Thru for takeaway coffees and tasty treats on the go, throughout the week.

Our Ethos

Our cafe is open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We serve breakfast, brunch and lunch along with locally roasted coffee and homebaked cakes. We use seasonal, local, organic ingredients and adopt a farm to fork approach where we support small scale, local, hard-working producers while also producing high quality, flavoursome food, that is nutrient dense and better for our health. 

For example, our 100% Wicklow beef burger is completely additive free and certified organic from Keadeen Mountain Farms, while our lettuce leaves are certified organic and grown down the road from us at Garden County Organics.

We choose organic ingredients because they are proven to be better for our health. The farmer has to adhere to very strict standards and cannot use pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics etc. all of which are extremely harmful to our gut microbiome. Alongside the health benefits, organic farmers also farm on a smaller scale, which is the way that farming used to be and this has shown to be better for the animals, the land, our eco system and the environment. 

The Wilds Cafe Opening Hours:

Mon to Fri: 9.30am-4.30pm (kitchen closes at 3pm)

Sat and Sun: 9.30am-5.00pm (kitchen closes at 3.30pm)

Free parking and Wi-Fi available. 

We have an ample car park at The Beehive for all of our customers.

Dog Friendly

We welcome our four legged friends and their owners with open arms in our designated dog friendly area of the cafe.

The Drive Thru

 Our drive thru is open daily from 7am - 3pm during the week and 9am - 3pm at the weekend. Bringing you coffee and tasty treats when you are on the go. We are delighted to see so many of you stopping for much needed refreshments on your journeys including our friend Woody, the retired racehorse. Our drive thru serves the highest quality coffee and teas, delicious pastries from Firehouse Bakery, Homespun Oat Bars, Forest Feast nuts, All Real Protein Bars and The Fields of Athenry Gluten Free Cookies along with lots of refreshing soft drinks to quench your thirst.
